Adventure Bowl
I'm Gonna Need My Big Fake Purse For This One

Thank God for fake Louis Vuitton bags. My friend has examined mine and has heartily proclaimed it's passability as the real thing, ranking it a B+. Well, that purse is going to be put to the test on Friday when I do the adventure I pulled out of the bowl this week:

"Test Drive The Car of Your Dreams."

Oh, IT'S ON! It's totally going to be a red convertible Porsche. Although now that I have grown a second butt, I am a little nervous about having to squish down into the low seat. What if the salesman needs some kind of jaws-of-life to get me out? That would not so good.

I'm putting together my plan of action. I know I can't just roll into a Porsche dealership in my Target sweats. I need to wear something sophisticated and cute (and made with a little stretch fabric for the squishing down into low seats). I might have to borrow something... from Bloomingdales.

Then there is the issue of my current car. My current car is a red Jeep Wrangler. It's old. I would tell you how many miles it has but the odometer broke about a year ago. So did the speed gauge, gas gauge, oil gauge and water gauge. And it only has one working seat belt. It basically a death machine on wheels.

And it's SO not the sort of car you drive up to a Porsche dealership in that makes ANYONE ever believe you could afford a Porsche. Or a Porsche mug.

I'll have to park it around the corner.

Wish me luck!

Dear Adventure Grrl,
Good for you, I hope you can pull it off. I have been a little to busy to respond to your posts, I read Melanies response and this post today. I really don't want to do the look in the mirror naked thing, I have accepted my fat, but I really hate my scars. They make me think I am sick and I am weak, not like I am not having a personal pity party already right now. I really think god sits around with his drinking buddies and does mean things to me for fun. I know that there are people worse off than me but I am trying so hard! I started having eye pain a couple of days ago and it turns out that I have eye herpes (herpetic eye infection) from letting myself get a little run down. It's not fair, I want to have the same energy as normal moms without sarcoidosis without god punishing me with eye herpes. It's too stupid to even take as seriously as the docs want me to take it. comments I have gotten: "bet you won't let anyone poke you in the eye again" "you looked at me should I get tested?" "Is that even real?". So I am having my own personal pity party and I don't have to go to my morning job today so I can tell you all about it. I feel much better when I make light of my pain, but come on eye herpes!! My doc has only seen one other case and he is a really old guy!! I am really sorry, I didn't mean for my response to be so about me, but come on eye herpes you have got to be kidding!!

Have fun with your test drive!! Tell us all about it cause it will really make my day!

Hugs, (but not to close after all I have eye herpes)

Wow! You're braver than I am. I can't even imagine trying to drive a porsche! On the bright side, when we went to buy my most recent car, we drove my old car there and it had been totaled so you can imagine what it looked like. No one even knew which car was ours (until we told them) so you should be able to stash your current car in the back of the lot or something and just wander in like you've been driving porsches all your life :) I can't wait to hear how it goes!

SO fun! I meant to tell you about this earlier, but there is a fun book called "You can do it-A Merit Badge Book for Grown Up Girls" that I picked up last year that reminds me of your adventures. It's like being a girl scout but with totally fun badges!

My girlfriend reads your blog to me all the time. Now that you're test driving sports cars, I'm on board. But can I at least suggest an Aston Martin? Do that and I'm living vicariously through you!
