This Is Super Cool

I saw this quote and I thought it was cool. I wish I knew who said it.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, your body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "Woo hoo!" What a ride!"

If you substituted pizza for chocolate, I have a night like this about once a month but after reading this, I know I need to bump up my fun quota.

It's a great reminder as we get closer to closing out the year, a time when a lot of people reexamine their lives.

Are you having enough fun? If you knew it was all going to end in a week could you giggle at all the mischievous good times you had? Or would you be filled with regrets of the things you haven't done?

This blog is dedicated to chocolate martini fun.

i regret nothing and girl I have HAD me some BIG "chocolate martini" style fun in my day. There is still more i want to do, but i have been such a lucky dog my whole life, it still amazes me! Even the guys that didn't work out so well, I don't "regret." The only thing I wish I could do right now is tell K how I feel...The friendship is still worth keeping my mouth shut, so I am not regretting it...yet.

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy the ice cream while it's on your plate.

actually i reckon the last three years were a little low on chocolate martini style fun but i don't regret it as such. still, i wouldn't say no to a few more nights out on the town...thanks for encouraging us to think about what's missing.

I love this quote too! I'm trying to live by it daily. I got the chocolate thing down, but too many martinis make for nasty headaches, but damn it sure is fun before the pain starts.

Awesome quote! I went through some heavily clouded chocolate martini days and dont regret them - without those days, I would not be the person I am or have met and learned what I have learned so far ...

Have a great week

i have been giving this a lot of thinking myself lately. i really dont feel fulfilled. i dont regret anything, but i wish there was just MORE of everything. theres so much i wish i could do, but with school its really hard. there are only so many hours in a day. i want to see every movie, read every book, try new pizza toppings and salad dressing.i want to make more friends. but above ALL i want to smile more and laugh a heck of a lot more.

there is this new movie coming out with Jim Carey, have u heard of it? he spends his whole life saying no and missing out on a lot. and somehow (i dont know if hes dared or what) he has to say yes to everything. it looks really great.

p.s. great quote!

yours,
Twinkle

p.p.s. it is exactly 1 month until my 21st bday. i see martinis in my future :)

That is a great quote...thank you for sharing it!

I've definitely learned to loosen up and have a lot more fun in the last year or so. Like this past weekend - I saw that the people I babysit for had left their garage door open. So I went home and made a sign that said "For Sale Inquire Within: Ask for my wife, she'll take less for it" and put it on the windshield of the husband's car :) It was exhilarating and so much fun!!! And even more fun when the wife called me this morning to ask if I did it ....

Here's to living a happier, more spontaneous life. 'Cause if you aren't living it now you can't live it after you die.

I think Woody Allen said that quote... I could be wrong though. I really like that quote though because it reminds us to take a step back and just RELAX every once and awhile.
